The vocatium Dresden II is a nationwide vocational training and study fair that brings together companies, universities, academies, and institutions in a personal dialogue with young people about career choices. With the MINT Forum the fair placed a special focus on the MINT (STEM) sector, with lectures, hands-on stations and a Science Slam offering practical and theoretical insights into MINT professions. The AutARK project team participated with a presentation and a stand to inform visitors about inclusive education, digital accessibility and the different needs of people with disabilities or disorders in the context of training and studies. The presentation entitled “Responsibility in Computer Science: Human-Centered Design for Diversity and Inclusion” also provided insights into current research in the field of human-computer interaction to promote inclusion, and raised awareness of the integration of accessibility aspects and the resulting responsibility of computer science. Further information on each of these topics was available at our stand in the form of various brochures, flyers and one-on-one discussions. Visitors could also test their tactile skills by recognizing tactile animals or see the Segway assistance robot in action!
