Good news for the AutARK research project: the project duration has been extended until 31 March 2026. This extension enables the team to finalise the developed prototypes into a comprehensive package and make them even more valuable for practical application.
Why the Extension?
During the project, it became evident that the information needs regarding autism and employment extend far beyond the originally planned training videos. Insights from the requirements analysis made it clear: employers, autistic employees, advisory services, and educational institutions require individualised support.
What Will Be Developed During the Extended Project Phase?
The team is now developing an innovative software tool that captures the individual needs of autistic employees and, based on this, creates personalised guidelines for needs-based workplace design – including recommendations for technical assistance systems. This tool can immediately help many people.
Additionally, a training event on autism and employment will take place at the SRH Vocational Training Centre Dresden to pilot the tool’s application in practice.
