Call for Paper: Special Issue relating to Assistive Technologies for Neurodivergent People

Neurodivergent people (e.g. people on the autism spectrum, with ADHD, anxiety, or sensory processing disorders) face many barriers in different areas of life, such as work, education, and training, as our society mainly targets neurotypical needs and requirements.

Overcoming these barriers with technological solutions is the topic of an upcoming special issue of the journal Interacting with Computers entitled “Designing Technology for Neurodivergent Self-Determination: Challenges and Opportunities”, which is now open for submissions. Contributions should cover the field of technology usage by neurodivergent people, the development of innovative assistive technologies, and design for inclusion. Personal experience reports with a focus on experiences with technologies are also welcome.

Deadline for submission of extended abstracts:
    08.12.2024 (extended).

Further submission information can be found under our website’s menu item Special Issue.
